The Alumni network of the University of Bern thrives on the diversity of its members – and the opportunities to become part of it are just as diverse.
Membership for former students of the University of Bern
Alumni UniBE annual membership
All former students of the University of Bern can become a member of Alumni UniBE and thus gain access to the University-wide network. The membership fee is CHF 60 per year.
As a member, you can expand your personal network locally or via the website, take part in interesting events and benefit from various offers and discounts. You will also receive support in your professional development.
Annual memberships Professional associations
As a member of a subject-specific alumni organization, you are automatically also a member of the Alumni UniBE community. Specifically, this means: One membership for two networks!
Membership is open to former students who have completed part or all of the continuing education program in Archival, Library and Information Science (certificate, CAS or MAS). The annual membership fee is CHF 80.
Dual membership also includes full access to everything offered by Alumni UniBE.
Membership of Alumni Germanic Languages and Literatures provides access to the exchange of experiences with like-minded people and costs CHF 60 a year. Any former students with a degree from the Institute of Germanic Languages and Literatures or employees of the institute can become a member.
Dual membership also includes full access to everything offered by Alumni UniBE.
Alumni MedBern membership is open to former students of the Faculty of Medicine. The annual membership fee is CHF 80.
Dual membership also includes full access to everything offered by Alumni UniBE.
Membership of the Alumni Sport Science association opens up access to the network, to exchange ideas, to information from teaching and research, and to events. Former students and lecturers of the Institute of Sport Science can become members of the Alumni Sport Science. The whole thing is available for CHF 70 a year.
Dual membership also includes full access to everything offered by Alumni UniBE.
Membership of the Alumni association of the Faculty of Theology is for former students of the faculty and opens up access to the exchange of experiences with other theologians. The annual membership fee is CHF 60.

Membership of Alumni Vetsuisse provides access to the exchange of experiences with veterinarians and costs CHF 80 per year.
Dual membership also includes full access to everything offered by Alumni UniBE.
Mitglied werden können alle mit einem Masterabschluss, Doktorierende, Dozierende und Mitarbeitende aus den Biomedical Engineering Studiengang an der Universität Bern. Auch Alumnae und Almuni aus dem Masterstudiengang Artificial Intelligence in Medicine sind im Netzwerk herzlich willkommen.
Der jährliche Mitgliedsbeitrag beträgt 60 CHF (BME Club und Alumni UniBE) oder 80 CHF (BME Club inkl. SSBE und Alumni UniBE).
Membership of ipwalumni is open to all those who are studying/have studied at the IPW and/or meet the criteria outlined in the Statutes (Article 2):
- Have completed a degree program offered by the IPW (bachelor, master, licentiate, doctorate)
- Were employed at a chair of the IPW
- Were employed in an externally funded project affiliated to the IPW
The membership fee was set at CHF 70 per year at the founding meeting.

Membership is open to anyone who has studied in the Business and Economics departments of the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Bern or to lecturers who are reading or have read there. We also warmly welcome current students from the Faculty of Business, Economics and Social Sciences. The annual membership fee is CHF 80.
Dual membership also includes full access to everything offered by Alumni UniBE.
Anyone who has studied the Master's program in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Bern or is or was a professor of the program can become a member.
The annual membership fee is CHF 80.

Free membership for registered students
Alumni UniBE gives registered students the opportunity to get to know the community free of charge during their studies and to actively exchange ideas with former students of the University of Bern.
Registered students include:
- Bachelor students
- Master students
- Doctoral students
- Students in continuing education
You can log in and register using the Switch Edu ID as long as you are registered.
After graduating, you benefit from a free membership for your final first year as a regular member at Alumni UniBE . All you need to do is change your e-mail address from @students.unibe.ch to a regular one. We will send you a reminder.
If you are not already a member of your subject-related community after registration, you can also be part of a subject-related network at some of the specialist associations and communities during this time. Just have a look at the specialist clubs and become a member via the member area.
Membership for University of Bern graduates
Trial membership for new graduates
In the first year after graduation, new graduates have the opportunity to get to know the community free of charge during a trial membership for the association year. This offer is provided by Alumni UniBE together with some professional associations. Depending on your degree program, you will receive a trial membership with Alumni UniBE or together with one of our professional associations.
During this time, you will receive free access to the community, our events and other offers. The trial membership then changes to a regular annual membership. If you decide it i’s not for you, you can get in touch by mail or using our contact form.
Important: The Alumni Vetsuisse Faculty offers its graduates a three-year trial membership in the first year after graduation.
