Alumni award 2026
Each year, the Biomedical Science Alumni Award recognizes the best master's thesis in biomedical science at the University of Bern. The award comes with a prize money to celebrate excellence in research and to support the next steps of an emerging scientist. The winner is announced and honoured at the annual diploma event, where faculty, family, and fellow students gather to celebrate academic achievements. It's our way of saying: outstanding work deserves recognition, and a community that cheers you on.

Kickstarter-Karriere-Event
Every year, Dr. Marcel Hofstetter and the Biomedical Science Alumni organize the Kickstarter Career Event. It is a unique gathering where professionals from both industry and academia are invited to share their knowledge and meet with students. It's a dedicated space for real exchange: students ask questions, professionals offer insights, and together they explore the many paths a biomedical science degree can take. No lectures. Just honest conversations across generations and sectors.
